You’ll have a blast playing through every level of Zombieland: Headshot Fever as you double tap zombies in the head in this thrilling VR shooter. The toilet paper scarcity references make the atmosphere believable.. and terrifying. Imagine no toilet paper during the middle of a zombie outbreak.. The devs captured the feeling of hopelessness and chaos in all maps levels with great detail, cars and windows are busted out and shelves in the grocery store are knocked down or picked over and there is little refuge from the zombie hoard you are staring down. You have the option to outfit your guns with upgrades in exchange for TP that the zombies drop. And when you progress far enough into the game you will begin to unlock the rifles. Be careful though! Ammo is just is scarce in the post zombie world as toilet paper is so use your bigger caliber rounds sparingly! My load out of choice was the Double Barrel Shorty and the 1911 handgun. With this combo you surely will eliminate any threat within 50 yards.

The hideout your are based in comes with an indoor shooting range where you can practice your marksmanship before going out into the wastelands. Working on your grip and sight picture is crucial to placing your shot where you intend to and spending time in the range will aid in improving your accuracy and therefore reduce your time spent reloading. The second area you will want to explore is Tallahassee’s upgrade table. He offers add-ons to your armaments which enables you to down zombies more quickly. Stack your toilet papers you receive from our outings and pay Tallahassee for cool upgrades! I have my eyes on the Tavor rifle and will be maxing the upgrade on that gun next when it becomes available to me.

Game play is quick, addictive, and exciting. The rate that the zombies attack you is quick and respects the players who have cat like reflexes. Reloading your guns is as simple as pulling down on the right joystick and placing your gun hand near your gun belt. I would like to see the devs implement a feature where I need to reach with my off hand to reload ( Ideally, I see myself freeing my off hand and using the grip button on the left controller to grab a magazine and then insert it into the gun releasing the left grip button to insert it into the mag well.) Moving from spot to spot is as easy as pointing your controller to the next standing spot and pressing the ‘A’ button. This makes the game feel like an arcade mini game and prefer this over walking manually with the left controller stick. Perhaps one day the devs will add an option to move around with the left controller and not use the snap to feature.

Fighting through New Guy’s house with 5 dozen zombies is a bit of a challenge when your in unknown homes. Shoot your way through without raiding Mom’s fridge and make it back to the hide out. Mommy and Daddy said they were going to the bedroom to talk about something but they didnt come out. When I entered the bedroom, after clearing the living room of brain munching dead folk, I was met by Zombie Mom throwing a huge pink dildo at my face. I was more surprised by the level of detail in the object being thrown at me than I was by the sheer ferocity of Zombie Mom. It is hard to take this game seriously when there are memes all around the place. And that is how I would keep it, if this game was more horror focused I might have forgotten to have some fun.

Check your corners! There are zombies lurking at every angle! I used the 1911 and double barrelled shorty for the job here with no perks. This is how Zombieland was meant to be roamed! Will the zombies pick your parts in the junkyard?
